Summer Star-gazing 2018
People come to Santa Rosa County for a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Enjoy a place where the city lights fade and the true beauty of the universe shines!
For some of our best viewing spots, make sure to come out to the soft sands of Navarre Beach away from the roads. If out in North County, find a break in the trees while camping, or head out to Coldwater Creek and the Blackwater River for a beautiful starry night sight.
And don’t forget to camp out in mid-August to see the Perseid Meteor Shower. With an average of 60-70 meteors an hour during the peak, you’ll have ample opportunity to make wishes on a shooting star.
